…but its still better to have a uvb light…

  7. By MarkNightriver on Jan 13, 2010 | Reply

They dont need uvb if you bring them outside right? I heard that an hour outside is like a week of floressent UVB from a lightbulb

no they wouldnt if u mean uvb wise. but dont take them out and loose them. cuz they wont live more than a month if they get lost. he wont have anything to eat or drink.

thats cool man. I’ve wanted one of these lizards for a few years now, but have always stuck to snakes but am really thinking of picking up one of these in the next few months.

he looks great. the applesauce is cute.

good UVB lights are expensive. If you are buying one for a large saltwater tank get ready to pay $500

we have one in our back yard under our shed and its nearly 24 inches long, 2 foot long its massive, i dont dare try and catch him though!

You’re not really supposed to feed them lettuce because it doen’t have very much nutritional value. It’s better to feed them collard greens or cabbage. :)
