Millipedes?
Written by scottology on February 25, 2010 – 10:42 pm -I am looking for some Millipedes to buy but have found that most Breeders are Overseas. I have checked out several Websites but have not had much luck. I keep thinking I must be missing something. The one Millipede I have came from a small pet store. Does anyone have any Websites I can check out or perhaps know of a Breeder in the US? I really want to add to my female but so far no luck. Thanks to all who answer.

What is a remedy for getting rid of millipedes in the basement?
Written by scottology on February 7, 2010 – 10:29 pm -My bedroom is in the basement, and every summer we get an invasion of millipedes. I really don’t mind them since they just crawl on the floor and then go back where they came from, but I’d like to eliminate some of them. Is there anything I can put around the house that’ll turn them off?

Giant THAILAND MILLIPEDE
Written by scottology on January 30, 2010 – 9:40 pm -Giant Thailand Millipede. I’ve seen a couple larger than this millipede, but they were both going across the highway and I thought better of my life than videotaping them. They came to a tragic end (I watched in horror). More at: www.thaipulse.com in the videos section.

What would cause millipedes to invade an area all at once?
Written by scottology on January 22, 2010 – 6:30 pm -Where I work we’ve noticed a lot of millipedes inside the building. We see about 50 of them a day. I was wondering if it could be all the rain we’ve been getting or maybe the constrution in the area has disturbed them.
It’s not cold here.

Giant Millipede in close-up
Written by scottology on December 7, 2009 – 9:29 pm -The giant African millipede is the largest species of millipede on the planet. This beautiful animal, walking on some lichens, is herbivorous and has two pairs of legs per segment. Despite their name, these creatures do not have a thousand legs; common species have between 80 and 400.
