How do I get the geckos to start eating the Crested Gecko Diet?
Written by scottology on January 29, 2010 – 2:16 am -
I’ve had the two Crested Geckos for a week, and they’ve been eating crickets fine, but haven’t seem to be eating the Crested Gecko Diet i’ve been placing in with them at night. Any help is much appreciated!

if you have babies, they dont eat a whole lot to start with, a few licks here and there, an amount that is not noticable. If your babies are pooping, then they are eatingand woldnt worry too much about it. If you are finding that they are not pooping, then mixing either a part 2 diet of crested gecko diet which you can find on that pangea reptile link someone else gave, or mix some organic banana baby food will work. But like i said, if you see feces, they are eating.

Do you have the magnetic ledges in their cages? When I first got my crestie I tried feeding her on the floor of the cage, but she didn’t like being down there that long, so I got the ledge: http://www.pangeareptile.com/Images/panledge/1.jpg. I also mixed a little pineapple, or banana baby food in with the CGD in the beginning. After about 2 months she was just eating the CGD. This is what worked for me. I hope it helps you. Good luck!
