lime, talcum powder or medicated body powder or Comet®, boric acid, silica gels and/or diatomaceous

The above is a list of things said to help with controlling scorpions. Has anyone tried any of these things? What is about them that makes them work?? , particularly the talcum powder and medicated body powder…

Boric acid baits have been used since the late 1800’s i think it should work, never use before for i don’t have scorpions problem.

Baby powder and medicated body powder with talcum will repel many crawling insects. Talcum powder quickly dries out the insect and/or clogs the spiracles and, thereby, kills many insects
