Written by scottology on August 8, 2010 – 10:47 pm -Typhlonectes sp.. sometimes imported as “rubber eels” from South America… Wild caught adults and some F1 juveniles doing what they always do when they smell food (their eyesight really isn’t that great, but they got great schnozzes!)

Caecilians Feeding
Written by scottology on May 30, 2010 – 5:58 pm -Feeding my caecilians. There are about 12 adults and maybe the same number of babies in there. At least 2 different species, maybe 3. Typhlonectes sp, possibly natans and compressicauda… Some came in as a Potomotyphlus sp. They eat koi sticks and trout pellets, and just started breeding.. yahoo! The biggest females are about 30″ long!
