Snails

Snails can make an interesting addition to your exotic pets diet. Several reptile species such as skinks, bearded dragons and monitors can eat live snails and they will form part of a healthy diet.

It is usually recommened to purchase edible, farm raised snails which are guaranteed to be germ and pathogen free. These are raised in laboratory conditions and are suitable for human consumption. So if you feel like joining your exotic pet with their live snail feast then just go right ahead. You never know, you might like them as much as your pet.
